Review of Pharaoh/Cleopatra

For a long time I was familiar with city planning simulators mainly from the Sim city series, which, although they aroused interest, scared me off with a fairly high entry threshold. I became immersed in this genre when I became acquainted with the products of the Immersion games studio, known for the Cesar series. My first game from this studio was Pharaoh. The first time they gave me a disc for a while. Then I didn’t know English and understood little. Of course, I made a whole bunch of mistakes, but I had fun. I built cities that didn’t function, fell into debt, and started again. Then a few years later I got the Russian version and then the whole depth of the gameplay of this very interesting game was revealed to me. After that, I compare all city planning games with this strategy.

Construction starts from scratch

Once you arrive at the location where the future city will be located, you should not immediately start construction. Before this, the player needs to inspect the territory, check the available construction options and the world map. This is required to obtain the main resource in the money game. Money is spent on construction, workers’ salaries, tribute to the pharaoh and much more. The only way to obtain them in acceptable quantities is through trade. On the world map there are Egyptian and other cities that sell and buy many goods. Therefore, you need to find out what can be produced, and what can be sold from what is produced. The list of products is extensive. Here are cereals, fruits, other agricultural products, minerals and metals and of course handicrafts. The game has simple production chains, mainly consisting of two buildings: the place where the resource is mined and the place where it is processed. Workshop products are more expensive than raw resources, but not without exceptions. Wood, copper and stone are strategic goods, therefore they are expensive, and mined gold can be easily converted into coins.

Everything that we have mined or produced cannot be kept in the open air. For storage you need to build warehouses for goods and barns for food. Goods cannot simply be transferred to the warehouse, so buildings must be connected by a network of roads. The industry will not work without people. They cannot be managed directly, but in order to hire new workers, production uses foremen who must go to the nearest residential building to recruit people.

To encourage immigrants to come to the city, we allocate land for development. Residents’ houses are built without our participation, they do not look presentable and do not support many people. More land can be allocated for houses, but the best way would be to improve. The population has needs, and their satisfaction leads to the evolution of residential buildings. The very first ones are water and food, but over time the requirements will increase. The population will need somewhere to receive the services of doctors, city officials, and local entertainers. Demands for new goods from simple tableware to luxury items will increase. And to meet needs it is necessary to build farms and workshops, courts and temples.

We must remember that in Immersion games the services were not provided in the area as in many other games. City service buildings produced employees who walked along the paved roads for some distance, providing relevant services along the way, and then returned back. All of the above is a base that, although unusual, is easy to master.

Egyptian plagues

The player must consider many factors https://betshubscasino.co.uk/login/ when planning the city. Farms and workshops should not be too close to houses so as not to reduce the attractiveness of the area, but not too far away so that workers can reach. The needs of the population are growing and to improve their living space, people demand new goods, city services, and sometimes improving the attractiveness of the surrounding area, for which we build parks and statues. Residents’ homes need not only satisfaction of needs, but also a place for further improvement. The scheme of city services requires planning areas, limiting the movements of workers with special signs. It must be remembered that the population has its age and the elderly stop working over time, but do not stop consuming. And on top of all this is the fact that this is happening in a desert climate, where moisture is a treasure, and some buildings require water.

Speaking of water. We say Egypt, we mean the Nile. This great river was sacred to the Egyptians, and it will be a great help in the game. The Nile is not only a transport artery, but a source of food. If Nile water meadows are present on the map, then problems with food are practically eliminated. Of course, without this there are many ways to feed the population: hunting, fishing, animal husbandry and of course agriculture on solid soil. But all of the above require workers and are not as effective. In the future, the fields produce significantly more harvest, but depend on the Nile flood. Which is subject not only to natural causes, but also to divine intervention.

Religion was an important part of Egyptian life. It also affects many areas of life in the game. The game’s five gods of Egypt crave temples and festivals in their honor. Angry gods bring down a variety of punishments, but the pleased ones bestow their mercy.

Not only gods, but also people are dangerous. War in Pharaoh forces you to do it as little as possible. The army costs money, manpower and requires very expensive resources. But only soldiers will protect your cities from complete destruction when the enemy army approaches your doorstep. Military affairs in the game are surprisingly complex. Soldiers are united into squads, each has not only health, but also morale and can grow in experience. To recruit soldiers, it is necessary to build a recruiter and a fort of the appropriate type, on the parade ground of which the units will gather. The units are divided into three types: archers capable of fighting off only a stray gang of Libyans, infantrymen the main striking force and chariots demolishing all living things. The construction of fortifications helps a little in protecting the city: gates, walls and towers. But they are needed to limit the movements of enemy troops and give time to gather their own troops. There is also a fleet in the game, represented by both light warships that shoot arrows and ram enemies on the water, and transport ships for delivering soldiers.

The path to immortality

In the campaign, we take the family as a guide and lead them through the main milestones of the history of Ancient Egypt, from the founding of the first villages to the emergence of the Egyptian superpower. A new mission is always a new city, each with several conditions . Basically have a certain population, have certain buildings in the city, or achieve a certain rating. The rating is divided into four indicators. Culture level, wealth parameter, monument rating and kingdom attitude rating.

The first shows the population’s access to cultural institutions,. Welfare is an indicator of the financial success of a city. You lose more than you earn and your rating falls, on the contrary, it grows. The rating of monuments shows the progress of the construction of these majestic structures. Monuments are the only buildings that require building materials and time for their construction. Throughout the campaign we will need to build obelisks, temples and of course pyramids. The player will be able to see their evolution from primitive brick mastabas to giant pyramidal complexes.

Kingdom rating is the most important. It shows how the player feels about the pharaoh and other Egyptian cities. If it falls too hard, the player will be attacked by a hostile Egyptian army, which will be difficult to fight off. It falls for many reasons: they did not provide assistance, delayed the construction of the monument, went into debt, angered the gods, collect high taxes and pay too little wages, etc.d. There are several ways to increase your rating. For example, one of the pantheon of gods Ra, with a good attitude towards the player, will raise the rating. You can also make an offering to the pharaoh from personal funds. But the most convenient thing will be fulfilling orders. Other cities will ask for resources and goods or military aid, which will need to be collected within a certain time frame . Collected on time, increased your rating, were delayed, received a small fine, were unable to do so at all, the rating will drop more. In addition, there may be other consequences, such as closure of trade routes. A high rating will not only protect the city from the wrath of the pharaoh, but will also allow you to receive free resources from other cities.

Archaeological work

I can’t help but note that the game perfectly conveys the atmosphere of Egypt. We have to thank the visuals and music for this. The game looks just great, thanks to the stylization and general quality of the building models and workers, it doesn’t feel old at all. The music in the game is one of my favorites. Made in a unique style, it has firmly taken its place in my playlist.

Unfortunately, the game is not without its shortcomings, some very serious ones at that, mostly bugs. Poor integration with the add-on made it impossible to complete some missions on difficulty above average. Incorrect spam of workers (mainly from cultural buildings) can spoil the passage, and the construction of monuments can also spoil . Such bugs are rare, but unpleasant . Some developer decisions are very difficult to understand. For example, when requesting food, it must be delivered not from the barn, but first transferred to the warehouse. Yes, and during food requests (for example, during hunger), you need to send a specific type.

The Cleopatra add-on was released for the game, which added new missions, new buildings, new goods and new monuments to the game. Everything the same, only more.

Pharaoh was a very popular game. Recently, many spiritual successors have appeared and there are even announcements about the creation of a full-fledged remake. Is it worth playing now?? For newcomers to the genre, I would not recommend it. The game is complex and in some moments it can be difficult to understand; seemingly insignificant errors at first glance can easily lead the city to collapse. It’s better to pay attention to the studio’s later products. For fans of the genre, especially if they haven’t played any of the Immersion games strategies, definitely yes.

Review of The Walking Dead: The Game

About a month ago I suddenly had a desire to go through the third season of The Walking Dead, because at one time I missed this game, but I haven’t forgotten how to count and therefore I remember about the first two seasons. I went through them a very long time ago, for this reason there was a need to refresh my memories. The first season, as you might have guessed, I have already finished and decided to share my opinion that no one needs. But if you are still interested, then enjoy reading!

The plot is extremely simple: our GG https://milyon88casino.co.uk/login/ named Lee is in a police car driven by Mr. Policeman. We’re heading straight to the zone where Lee was sent for murder. After talking a little with the policeman and hearing messages about an emergency on the radio, the main character notices a strange man appearing in front of the car.

I wonder what it starts with (*try not to pay attention to the name of the game). An accident occurs, Lee injures his leg, but the fate of the policeman is much sadder – he turns into a monster, and we need to put him out of his misery. We finish, wander through the forest, which is filled with the living dead, and accidentally find a house in which the little girl Clementine has settled. Colleagues in misfortune unite to survive in this new and not yet explored world.

If we talk about the story as a whole, it turned out just great. We are shown truly sad and difficult events in which the player is faced with a choice. Yes, I think you know about Telltale Games’ popular "variability", but it still works here. At the moment of some tough situation, you really feel that you have been faced with a difficult choice, and your future passage will depend on it. Yes, not on a large scale, like, for example, in some “Detroit: Become Human”, but still. It is worth noting that this works primarily because of the well-written characters who behave like ordinary people. Just put yourself in their place, and you will understand that you need to act quickly and decisively at certain moments. Remaining a hero in such circumstances is not easy, and we can only try. I really don’t want to spoil important plot points, so I’ll just say that, in addition to, obviously, the two main characters, Kenny also turned out well. Due to his difficult fate and his behavior in certain circumstances, you just get imbued with him as a human being. There are quite a few such Persians in the game, but there are also very ambiguous and simply negative ones, for example, Ben, or a family from a farm whose diet raises questions.

[Review On. ] Dead Rising 3.

Dead Rising 3
Many interesting and high-quality games have been released recently, but it can be difficult to write about them on a blank sheet of paper for the first time in a long time. Therefore, I am writing not about something new, but about the already well-forgotten (pose) of last year Dead Rising 3. A game that tried to be a "big" blockbuster with towers and zombies. You can find out why I couldn’t from this review:

10 years after the events in Fortune City, where are the rampaging zombies from the show "This cruel world"infected numerous inhabitants of the city, in a small Californian town with a cacophonous name Los Perdidos the tragedy repeated itself. Several tens of thousands of zombies broke free, and the survivors were locked in a city left to perish. Of course, the military lied on TV that the survivors were given the opportunity to get out, of course everyone had their own goals, of course the military shot at people who were still alive… Of course. Of course, everything seems a little more confusing and steeper than it really is.

Dead Rising 3 the same representative of the series who is trying to develop the ideas of previous games, but, either due to a lack of talent or time, the team cannot do it well enough. The game is about an ordinary car mechanic Nick Ramiros, which, unlike Chaka and his daughters, no need ZOMBREX (cure for zombie infection) because he is immune. The creators of the game themselves are trying to make Nick out to be a loser from the very beginning, and in terms of charisma, he falls far short of the photographer from the first part, and even of the aged Chuck, who has lost most of his cool, and appears in person at the end of the game. A weak main character whose “suffering” you don’t believe ruins all the screenwriters’ attempts to make the plot interesting. You can’t empathize with your fat friend and other survivors. The story fails so much in the middle that trying to pull it out with a farce near the end is pretty lame. Basically, everyone makes stupid and inappropriate jokes.

The previous parts, despite the funny costumes and fairly arcade gameplay, remained tragedies with an interesting plot. But the third part is neither fish nor fowl. The ending is a little small, moreover, all actions after the first half of the game are very predictable, with the exception of very stupid situations. There is no main villain, as such, and the few people who “play” for the bad guys are extremely poorly developed. Characters are brought into the picture simply out of a desire to show off someone new or old, and when they die or disappear from the story, there is no feeling beyond the desire to end the game as quickly as possible. The endings are not inspiring, and you don’t expect “unexpected” turns due to extreme boredom and disinterest in the game conflict. It is worth mentioning separately about "Psychos". In the last part, these included both plot bosses and “extraordinary” side. Here, it’s the side bosses that are considered “Psychos,” of which there are only seven. Each of them personifies a mortal sin and does not go beyond this idea. You won’t see any unexpected revelations, empathy or interweaving with the main plot. These are just exaggerated images. From a gameplay point of view – easy opponents (on normal difficulty). However, the presentation and unusual locations still distinguish them favorably from their plot enemies.

Things are also weird with the graphics. It does not amaze the eye, although at some moments the picture looks very stylish. The requirements are not that high, but relative to the graphics output they seem to be too high. It doesn’t stand out in anything special, muted tones and the absence of any serious accents on objects or colors, thank God, it doesn’t become an endless muddy mess. It’s worth mentioning about game effects. Some of them, especially the explosions, seem to have been ripped out of Saint’s Row.

But what gets in the way are bugs and glitches. Even though the game was released on PC a year after Xbox One their number in the first days was simply amazing. From optimization to gameplay, the game seemed to not want to be played. Endless crashes, lags, unstable co-op, is it a joke, when picking up certain items the game either froze or crashed, and these items were different, depending on the co-op or normal playthrough, one or the other did not work. And only after a couple of months, when the patches fixed most of the errors, and you could enter additional missions without the fear of losing all your progress after crashing, I was able to complete the game to the end. As a matter of fact, this is the main reason for such a long delay in the review.

The character can be fully upgraded https://betokaycasino.co.uk/ until the end of the game if you complete side quests and kill a couple of hundred zombies from time to time.

But we also need to say something good. Firstly, the game has, on the whole, a rather pleasant and uncomplicated “wanking” element. Obtaining “figurines”, destroying repeaters and assembling a team, although it takes a lot of time, still brings pleasure to those who love this business. Access to most of the elements is quite easy, but to get some you need to be smart, but a couple cannot be obtained without completing a side quest. This element is not necessary, but it is what is remembered after 50 hours of play. This makes the game similar to Far Cry 3. Exactly like a simple, but quite pleasant pumping. Levels are obtained by experience, which is given out for everything from killing zombies (the more powerful the walker and the cooler the club), ending with side quests and collected items. Many things are upgraded, from the speed and duration of running, to the size of the team and recipes for crafting. Moreover, having reached level 50, you can “upgrade” previously hidden “tops” of skills. And when you discover all the character’s capabilities, playing becomes much more fun. If you want, you build a huge club out of shit and sticks and go kill zombies, if you want, you can drive around in an immortal transport, or you can use all possible books at once.

You will definitely visit this place 30 times in the main campaign and a couple more times in additional ones.

The game world seems quite large, but only at first glance. Then, after studying the intricacies of the routes that go around the city and running around the local streets several times, you realize that there is really little usable space; most of the city is occupied by “empty” areas to which there is no access. I wouldn’t say that the city manages to get boring during the first playthrough, but during the playthrough of the DLS some places begin to irritate, and during the second playthrough they become downright infuriating.

In the main campaign GTA-similar missions to transfer equipment from one part of the city to another without serious damage are rare, but they are found in every DLC, and in the latter it occurs as many as three times and cannot be completed without a level 50 character, with indestructible equipment, and very direct hands (I’m not even talking about knowledge of the city, the map does not help).

Speaking of transport. The physics are smooth, but since the game doesn’t force you to use a car, and the distances are quite small, the level of anger Watch_dogs avoiding. Although you have to move around the city not so rarely. Traveling by vehicle is transformed when you realize that cars can be crafted (somewhere at the beginning I mentioned that Niko auto mechanic). Do you want a cross between a roller rink and an ambulance, which flattens tons of zombies with a roller, and protects the carcass of the main character with the ambulance body – please, you want a hellish motorcycle – no problem, and if things are really bad, then a car made of garbage will allow you, in any case, to remain king on the road… Among the zombies, because the few survivors, some of whom are hostile (for example Bikers), do not strive for the steering wheel and prefer to sit out at certain points.

The battles in the game are simple and the killstreak with combined weapons easily reaches 300. Finishing moves, for example shown in the screenshot, are quite pleasing to the eye.

In general, the gameplay is pleasant and even killing zombies with an ever-increasing killstreak counter is pleasing. In some ways this process is even more meditative than in Dead Island, the likelihood of dying is lower, and the pleasure from blood flying around is greater. And finishing moves add variety. Is in the game and QTE, but “quick events” here are woven into the combat and occur when a zombie captures you in its tenacious clutches. So it doesn’t cause irritation, as in some games.

It’s worth mentioning about co-op, because it’s playing together with a friend that is fully revealed. In some ways it resembles a cooperative from Dead Space 3 or already mentioned Far Cry 3. Together with a friend, you can go through all the missions of the campaign, except for the very first ones, although, with the same success, you can just wander around the city and collect collectibles that count towards both “survivors” at once. At the same time, as in Dead Space"in all cut scenes the partner “disappears” somewhere. Not surprisingly, the characters look like twin brothers and only great customization opportunities allow you to distinguish them from each other.

The music in the game is not memorable (unlike previous parts), as are the sounds (with the exception of the savory sounds of killing zombies). In general, the technical condition of the game at the moment is satisfactory, practically no bugs were noticed and nothing, except the plot, overshadows the gameplay.

Achievement:
Find all the endings without paying attention to the signs..
With its madness the game reminds Welcome to Zombieland, but the lack of plot dynamics and the weak main character do not allow us to talk about any borrowing of the good aspects of the film. The game doesn’t offer anything special, and it doesn’t provide any new gaming experience. I advise you to spend time with it only if you are a very big fan of open worlds, and all the “main” titles have already been completed. Fans of the series may find many off-putting moments in the game, but will definitely appreciate the improved gameplay and a large number of references to past parts.

Pros: open world, non-intrusive "wanking" element, combat, co-op, crafting and character customization.
Cons: Weak main character and main plot, inflated system requirements, bugs, unclear DLS.

Plot: 5 from 10, weak main character, disappointing plot.
Gameplay: 8 from 10, Light fap element, killstreaks, variety of vehicles and weapons, fun co-op.
Picture: 7 from 10, Not a real nextgen.
Sound: 7 from 10, Doesn’t irritate.
Technical execution: 4 from 10, a large number of bugs, customization for consoles, useless gameplay elements.
Zombie apocalypse: 6 from 10, there’s no depth here The Last of Us and gameplay Left 4 Dead, this is not even a full-fledged survival game, but when another survivor who climbed onto the car dies from his own stray bullet, exploding a red barrel. Do you feel… Something.

Bottom line: 6.2 from 10. You can find a better game.

Review of Sherlock Holmes and the Secret of Cthulhu

Greetings everyone! Already in October of this year, a new part of “Call of Cthulhu” is coming out, and I wanted to time my review of “Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth” to coincide with this event, however, there are enough blogs on this game and mine is unlikely to be a breath of fresh air. Therefore, I decided to write about “Sherlock Holmes and the Secret of Cthulhu”, which was released in 2007 and was developed by the Ukrainian studio Frogwares, which was just creating the new “Call of Cthulhu”, but something did not work out and its place was taken by Cyanide Studios. But somehow I’m going off topic and it’s time for me to start.

Plot
Events begin with a demonstration of Sherlock Holmes’s boredom, seeing which Dr. Watson advises the detective to go to a bookstore and find something interesting there. Mr. Holmes does just that. After talking with several people and taking two books, he is about to go home, but is stopped by Doctor Watson. Upon arriving at his destination, Sherlock Holmes learns about the escape of a servant of an aristocrat and intends to solve the case. It soon turns out that the servant was kidnapped and this is not the first case of kidnapping in London, but a cult of a creature is involved in this, justifying the name of the game. Ritual murders, mental hospitals, ports and Cthulhu figurines, you will see all this.

And here is the victim of the cultists.
However, in this game, due to the combination of two artistic universes, strange and incomprehensible plot points appear. For example, Sherlock Holmes needs to go to a mental hospital and find out about its activities. Disguised as another person, Sherlock ended up in a cell. Having got out, he gets to the lower level of the mental hospital and behind a secret passage he finds some old man who foreshadows the return of the great. Although, nothing unusual for a house with soft walls.

The language of the Great Ones, in person.

Gameplay
The game is https://filiplaycasino.co.uk/ a quest and therefore our main task will be to explore the world and solve riddles.
It’s not interesting to explore the world, since you can only communicate with the plot characters, there are not many of them, and if you turn to Watson, he will only ask, “What do you say, Sherlock?». You can only interact with a very small number of objects. And these will be notes or key items for passing. However, I can also note that in some places there are strange solutions to the tasks set. For example, Sherlock ends up in a hospital and needs to remove a guard. How to do it? Take a syringe, fill it with a sedative and stick it in the guard’s neck, but no. You also need to find a metal tube of a certain diameter, stuff a syringe into it, get closer to the guard and shoot the syringe out of the tube. It sounds easy now, but then I couldn’t even imagine that the solution would be exactly like this.
Also, when exploring the surrounding area, we are given a close-up view of something, this is necessary to find small objects or obtain information about something. For such an inspection we were given a magnifying glass and a tape measure. We measure the size of shoes with a tape measure, and study every piece of land with a magnifying glass.

Next, riddles. There are few riddles in the game, but they are interesting and rarely repeated. Often, they are either simple to the point of disgrace, or completely incomprehensible. And the point here is not that I’m a cretin, but that sometimes you don’t understand the principle of their operation.

This is what it looks like to pick locks with a spoon. I couldn’t even imagine that you could pick locks with a spoon.
In addition to such typical elements for a quest, the game also contains game moments that are designed to bring variety and they do an excellent job with this.
For example, in the game there is a chase, a chase for a thief, during which we will run through factories and rooftops to country music, to one composition that is repeated over and over again.
They’ll give us a boat ride in the New Orleans swamps. It’s not the most entertaining thing, but it gives you time to take a break from regular walking.

Meet the only creepy place in the entire game.
Oh yes, while splashing in the middle of the swamps, we will play for two characters at the same time, Watson is rowing, and Sherlock is at this moment doesn’t row and will row will look at everything around it, if, of course, the player allows it and clicks on the magnifying glass icon.
At other times, we will have to play for Sherlock, but Watson will not be deprived of attention either. Both characters are no different from each other except for the items in their inventory, and such scenes are needed only to show what each character is doing at the moment.

Beautiful landscapes of Switzerland.
Everything is very bad here. Even at the time of release, the game did not impress with its graphics, but now it does not lend itself to any criticism at all. Although this is the first game in the "Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" series in full 3D. By the way, we are given two views for the game, first person and third. But God forbid those who decide to play the game in third person. This is extremely inconvenient, the camera is located in strictly defined and inconvenient places. Sometimes it will be very difficult to know where to go. But the first-person view is very convenient, it feels like the whole game was tailored specifically for it.
Now about the locations. Some locations look tolerable, others look terrible. There are few details on the levels, one texture is stretched on the walls, two colors. Character models are repeated, sometimes during one cut scene you can see an army of identical people. Character animations are clumsy and rough.
However, despite this, the locations in the game differ from each other. To some extent, because during the game we will visit New Orleans, London, Switzerland and one more place.

By the end of the game, it increasingly feels like the developers’ strength was running out. Locations are looking worse and worse. Animations are getting clumsier. And the plot is filled with a huge number of absolutely idiotic moments, let’s say thanks to the screenwriter.

It’s not funny anymore.

Bottom line
In the end I don’t know what to say. The game gives me mixed feelings. Somewhere it awakens not feeble interest, but somewhere laughter. But a game related to the HP Lovecraft universe certainly shouldn’t make you laugh. This is a good quest, but the appearance of the game is intimidating. If you have nothing to do, then play. In any case, it’s up to you. I am unable to give a final rating.

Sea of Thieves review

Microsoft has invested quite a lot of effort and money into PR for its exclusive Sea of Thieves. Lots of developer diaries, frequent beta tests, they told us about the game and let us play it many times. The game was released 2 years late and what did we get in the end?? Let’s figure it out.

The gameplay represents the everyday life of a real pirate. We drink rum, sail the seas on a ship, look for treasures, etc.d. Equipment includes firearms and melee weapons, shovel, compass, watch and musical instruments. We are free to do whatever we want with it. For example, on a ship (or boat, depending on the size of the team), we carry out quests, of which there are three types, as well as the factions that issue them – transportation of goods for Trade Union, searching and killing skeletons of legendary pirates for Order of Souls, search and sale of treasure chests for Golden Guardians. And accordingly, for each completed quest we receive an increase in reputation with the faction whose quest was completed and money. The more reputation a faction has, the more paid quests they give out. Also, no one forbids us to simply “squeeze” treasures and supplies from other players. The PvP system in the game is open, you can kill other players anywhere and anytime with impunity. This is where unique situations arise, when you were just sailing with a friend while drinking rum, when suddenly you met a ship, sank it, and received 5 chests, and the same on the other side – you never know who will attack you and when.

Controlling the ship is a separate https://swertegamingcasino.co.uk/login/ mechanic of the game, in which all team members must participate. Raise the anchor, raise and lower the sail, turn the sail in the direction of the wind, fire cannons, even look at the map, we must separately approach the subject of interaction. Of course, you can control the ship alone, but you will always be unable to keep up with something.
Of course, to fire cannons you need cannonballs, to repair a ship you need planks, etc.d.
Naval battles in the game are implemented quite interestingly; you can either simply shoot cannonballs from cannons, or load one of the team members into the cannon so that he flies onto the enemy ship and finishes off his enemies in close combat. This variety of action makes every battle at sea unpredictable.

In addition to other players, the enemies will be: skeletons, snakes, sharks, kraken. Of these, the most epic battles are of course with the kraken, the rest of the enemies are not of particular interest.

Graphically, the game looks beautiful, the cartoon style gives the game additional charm, the sea is implemented at 5 plus both graphically and physically, because it took about 2 years to develop it.

In terms of the soundtrack, of course, it’s rather poor, you can play only 6 songs in total on musical instruments, it would be nice if the developers added more in the future. Pirate motifs sometimes play in the background while swimming.

Bottom line
At first, the game seems like a hack from early access but with a price of 4 thousand rubles. Many are already calling the game the Xbox version of No Man’s Sky, but the developers gave us what they promised, without deceiving anyone. And by the way, the game has been part of Xbox Game Pass since its release, you can try it for two whole weeks for free, and decide whether you need it.
This game is a great pirate sandbox, full of unexpected situations. The main thing is to play with friends and interact more with other players. There is a slight monotony in the quests, but I think in the future the developers will diversify the content. If you like the romance of a pirate’s life, then set sail! And forward to the adventure! Yo-ho-ho!

Review of Resident Evil 7 (Not 12 out of 10, Not 10 out of 10, but still very cool!)

With the release of every new part of RE, people always appear whining, saying that everything is not the same, this is no longer a resident, and in general the grass was greener. In such situations, I always come to the defense and constantly insist that each RE is unique and good in its own way. Having been a fan for 21 years now, I can boldly say that Resident Evil 7 is a real resident, from which I had a lot of fun, in addition to being tough, brave and not shy about it. Not a masterpiece, but close, and just very cool!

Even though there really is very little https://phfuncasino.co.uk/ plot connection here with previous games (perhaps there will be more of it with the release of DLC), but this is a return to purebred Survival, where you need to save ammo, craft first aid kits and generally be very careful. It’s dark, scary, there’s not enough things, you constantly need to do back tracking and return to old locations in circles. Couldn’t be more canonical! Changing the camera, which scared many, in fact did not change anything except perception, plays absolutely like classic RE. Capcom’s statements about returning to the roots turned out to be true; along the way, they took elements of other projects, they left their own uniqueness and, one might even say, reinvented the genre. The seventh part is an indie horror concept in which tens of millions of dollars have been invested. The result is a bomb, exciting, atmospheric game, with a gigantic amount of detail and direction. With references to the old self, Easter eggs, etc.d. You walk through rooms, study objects, look at things and get a buzz. I am sure that in the next couple of years there will be many attempts to create similar horror films, because.To. no one has done this before. True, for me it turned out to be not scary at all, but creepy, bloody and tough at 100%. The fascination of what is happening holds you in pincers until you reach the credits. (Which I have already done, by the way, 2 times and including the Madhouse mode!)

It’s all because of the direction, you constantly feel the liveliness of the action. They constantly play out scenes in front of you, let you fight bosses, there are no drawbacks. The harshness of some moments is off the charts, special praise for such bold ideas. The scene in the garage will be remembered for the rest of my life, as will the prologue in general, and when you get your hands on a chainsaw, that’s it, I’m silent and silent. They entertain for 9-10 hours, which is a fantastic time for horror films, and even with such elaboration of every corner. All locations and rooms are made by hand, there are a lot of secrets, there are a lot of events. The authors change the rules, play with you, so the situations are completely atypical. With an abundance of shooting, it doesn’t turn into a shooter, it’s survival! Visually, it’s also excellent, a nice picture, stylized as a VHS tape, superb facial animation (especially in videos), and the ability to lower the graphic so low that it will work even on five-year-old PCs. Only the plot turned out to be ordinary, without details, because spoilers. Of the minuses – the price of 2000 rubles is a little expensive, I bought it on third-party sites for 1360 (a completely different matter); Russian subtitles are not perfect; incredibly few notes; the descriptions of things (you go up, press a button and read) have been completely cut out, which for me is wildly sad! Conclusion – amazing work, masterful execution, everything is very, very cool, but I can’t call it a legend or a masterpiece. But even so, RE 7 is a shining example of the revitalization of the genre. For fans of hardcore, horror and, of course, the RE series, I categorically recommend it!

[Review] R.U.S.E. That Soldier Is A lie

This is roughly how this review would begin if it were possible to transfer it to today’s game – R.U.S.E. The fact is that the developers from Eugen Systems stated from the very beginning of the development of the game that the main feature of this strategy is indicated in the name – deception. No, you don’t have to wring your fingers in front of the camera or try to lie while blushing in embarrassment. Instead, you will be given a kind of deck of cards with various tricks, such as: accelerating your units or accelerating the enemy’s retreat. A card that prevents your troops from retreating. Obvious "spy – decryption of orders – radio silence". Well, the most important trump card for many may be the deception that was shown in the first trailer: fake units and buildings. Don’t think about it, the developers didn’t even think about resorting to legalized cheating, you need to think about the use of every trick. Firstly, the map is divided into sectors, and therefore you cannot use one trick on the entire map. Secondly, their number is also limited, and the speed of their appearance is sufficient to keep you on your toes. And, of course, the duration of each trick is limited.

“What about the units??!"- you ask. Well, first of all, get ready that there are not tens of thousands of their varieties here. Everything is very concise. Three types of tanks, and don’t think that if you built three heavy ones, you won the match, but more on that later. Three types of aviation, one type of infantry, one air defense and artillery. There are also t.n. “experimental” units, access to which opens after the construction of a research center. True, there is also one nuance here: almost everything in it needs to be researched first, and then built.

Also, among other things, it is worth noting the excellent balance of different types of troops. Your flight of bombers will always be ambushed by anti-aircraft guns in the city. The enemy can place several artillery installations against your column of tanks. In general, the role of the latter here is incredibly large: rather than push straight through the orderly ranks of the enemy, it is easier to deploy the battery, furnish it with anti-tank guns and anti-aircraft guns and admire the work. Moreover, this work is perfectly voiced; when approaching, you can hear the charge whistling in the air, and the sound of the explosion itself is very impressive. Also, here you will have to completely forget about rushes, because they are useless here. Where is the guarantee that that column of tanks over there is real?? That’s right, she’s not there. Actually, this is included in the subtitle of the game: Truth Is The First Casualty Of War (Truth is the first casualty of war). In fact, even if that column over there is real, this does not mean that a huge flight of fighters is not flying behind it. Although, no, you know that planes fly there. The fact is that after a while you are shown the movement of enemy troops, but you know nothing about the type of troops: the chips show only the type (air – ground) and size (only for ground). As a result, we understand that the game is simply riddled with some kind of… anxiety, probably. You know that many opponents are coming towards you… that’s all! As a result, you pull up your army to the intended attack point…and suddenly a report comes that from somewhere on the side a tank is destroying your base, and you missed the message about the enemy using a jammer. Or they didn’t miss it, but didn’t know where it was used. As a result, you spend almost the entire game bouncing between the front lines… and that’s great! Using the mechanics of a regular RTS, the developers managed to create a real, dare I say it, puzzle, the conditions of which change every second.

No less interesting is the situation with resources, more precisely with the resource – money. Well, let’s start with the fact that in the beginning you will really miss them. The fact is that at first you only have 200 dollars, with which you can build, for example, 5 supply bases. Then you will have to wait for the trucks with tools to reach special points with money, which are called warehouses here, wait for the construction to be completed and… watch the empty treasury and trucks with money trailing like turtles. While they are traveling, many troubles of varying severity can occur: from a small reconnaissance by enemy infantry to an attack on all fronts. And it’s hard to say that even with the most streamlined system of money delivery using strongholds, money flows in a rapid stream. More like a thin stream that just made its way through the asphalt. As a result, you will have to think about every purchase you make and regret the loss of every unit. For this, too, we can only praise the developers.

Maps are also not wastelands with https://phtayacasino.co.uk/ trees, buildings and other landscape elements stuck here and there. Everything here plays into building tactics: your troops move faster on roads, and only on them can trucks drive. Cities and forests where certain types of troops can hide can also be considered strategically important points. Troops hidden in this way are not visible to the enemy and their discovery will be an unpleasant surprise for him.

It is also worth noting that there are several factions… but when playing, the difference between them is almost imperceptible. On the other hand, this was done to maintain the most fragile part of any strategy – balance. Another interesting feature worth noting is the presence of several time periods. They differ from each other both in available buildings and possible units.

Phew, I’ve lost my mind (as usual). Now, a few words about graphics and sound, and then a small update.

In principle, there are no special complaints about the graphics. The scale of the type “look at the map where the units are displayed” is very well done. But there are two points that really confused me: monolithic stone trees and ghost buildings.

The first ones look like trees, every leaf is worked out… but they don’t move, the foliage doesn’t rustle, the trunk doesn’t bend in a strong wind.

But the second ones look like ordinary buildings, even snow settles on them… but the equipment passes through them like a knife through smoke!

Otherwise the picture is pleasant, the sun is shining, the birds are singing ^^.

By the way, about singing. The sound here is excellent. In addition to the sounds of gunfire and the roar of exploding shells, the voice acting deserves special attention. The fact is that you don’t need to look at the map and wait for a miracle, you are notified about everything by an assistant who walks somewhere out of visual reach, so his voice comes from one side or the other. It’s like he’s also walking around the table and monitoring the situation.

Actually, this can be summed up: the game came out great. And if you look at the yellowish stream of games from UbiSoft, then it’s generally wonderful. Fans of complex tactical strategies should pay attention to it.

I will now start posting reviews on stopgame.ru, I’ll add a link to the blog in it later in the top menu. That’s the whole update

Review of the game Project Warlock

When I had an indefinite age with a shock, I had a cartridge with Duke Nukem. At that time, a change of weapon did not work at the dandy, and I, being crookedly, sincerely considered shooters something mediocre. Time has passed, a computer appeared, and with the first Painkiller I learned the joy and burning drive of a hurricane genre. But no one could convince me of the old shooters. And here he is. Here is a game Project Warlock. And I like the result.

Ordinary

The game was developed by a 19-year-old German guy by name Yakub Number (Jakub Cislo). Your first shooter, Exitium3d, He created in the area of 2016. After there was a successful company on kikstarter with a game No, cataclysm3d. 200 euros were collected instead of 90 requested. His first games were not much different from 2.5d crafts, and even nearby did not stand with Hexen Or something like it. But the last job, Project Warlock, A worthy heir to a whole pack game: Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Heretic, Hexen. It was they who was inspired by them.

The graphics are three -dimensional.

… but with sprites. Not a revolution, the same Hexen looks the same, but modern chips of lighting, shadows and other things appeared. In the settings, you can apply a bunch of filters – from a regular BB to simulating the spectrum. It is allowed to include noise, pixels, old shaders and interfere with how you want. New Flections: blur in motion and light – you can turn it off in the same place. The light, by the way, is an important feature of the game.

The hero is not a light bulb

I don’t know how it was in the Old Shutans, but in Project Warlock The hero is not a source of light, which gives a new experience and is felt very cool. I am so accustomed to the fact that the character’s carcass illuminates the environment, that getting into the darkness of the tunnels, I was lost. The brightness is specially darker than the usual. Straight, night battles simulator.

Fortunately, at the first level, we are given a lamp – a flashlight spell. While there is mana, they can illuminate the desired area. This gives two advantages. Repeated textures are not visible. And the second, attention is concentrated only on the enemy. You have to understand the enemy’s blurry silhouettes and if the new. All this, of course, provided that Hels Bar Monster turned off. He will read a little.

The hero is not a light bulb, but he has a light bulb.

Freaks of all types and stripes

Monsters are a separate topic. Rude opponents can be divided into species in functionality: shooting, there, or tearing into close combat. But this does not end there. They may have stages, weaknesses, preferred attack distance and the like. And when the enemies gather in the crowds, all this acquires new tones. Some become tresh and roll out with a quick -firing weapon, others suddenly cease to be, and they already roll us out. In such conditions, the speed of movement directly affects our survival rate. There is even a special perk for this.

Twelve perks, one of them increases speed. https://olb228casino.co.uk/withdrawal/ Yes, fonts are shit. Yes, in the English version too.

Opponents with a change in levels change not only models, although they also change the muvsets, evolve both in complexity and in other parameters. Honestly, some delighted me. It is especially worth considering that they will be dumped in 4-6 hours of the game. And to learn to kill them will have to at the shock pace. The saturation tickles the nerves.

Labyrinth levels

There are five acts in the game, each offers something his own. In the Middle Ages we collect coins, restore health from cans, cripple about knights and spiders. In the next act we are met by ice and yeti, and banks become crystals. The only thing that the cartridges icons are alone for the whole game.

In total, 60 levels will have to clean up. Five acts of five areas, one of them are an arena with a boss. You can’t return to the already passed. Although we get to the levels from the workshop. Such a hub of location, where on special machines you can update the weapon, learn the spell, pump stats and start the teleport to the next card. And this is strange – to choose a different level, except for the next one cannot. This is allowed in the main menu, but this is not the case. I think it is worth expecting the release of DLC or fan mods. There is a tank for expansion.

And in the second act, I found a card, at that moment, it seems, everything has become more difficult.

Levels in the game synonymous words disorientation. Of course, there are noticeable landmarks, such as: next to the "those armor". Yes, it is very easy to remember that there is the desired door next to the "Tank". But all this works until the desired door does not have to get through the elevator system. I am not strong in vertical orientation. Perhaps you have this skill better.

Aggravates everything with design – these are always damn labyrinth. Sometimes literally, sometimes not. While you are looking for keys – everything is fine. There are a bunch of mobs, there are not taken first -aid kits and poverty. It is easy to navigate: you see monsters – you go there. But when you scored the bag with keys, you will find an empty level, a bunch of open doors and a complete misunderstanding where to move. The answer is in a matter of minutes, but during this time I managed to run the level not at once. Yes, and the average passage of the level takes 5-7 minutes, which is in the background.

Some secrets reduce the way to the exit, but not this.

Guns, kalatushki

There are also many of them, two for each button from 1 to 9. There is a craft system. We collect special stars at the levels. We go to the machine in the workshop and either teach the spell or swing weapons. Two modifications give a choice. This is usually a damage or a special effect. And, of course, there is a bunch of pitfalls. I don’t know what is more useful, I only know that there are mobs in the game, which is easier to kill from one weapon, and more difficult from another. In addition, this moment is balanced by the steaming of weapons to the type of cartridge. At least half of the guns you pump correctly and will use them.

And that’s not all. In addition to the stages, enemies have weaknesses to certain "cartridges". That is, even under the most useless crossbow there is an enemy, which is faster and easier to kill with arrows. This method has an additional advantage – you save cartridges to your favorite weapon and imperceptibly get used to new. I hope the developers Doom Return to this model – it is beautiful.

In general, the developer tried. The depths in mechanics are not felt, and how would I feel it in 5 hours, but it is, and it works. Just at one point you understand that it is time to change the double-barreled man to something more powerful, and pick up an ax in your hands. Oh yes! The balance is not smelled here.

If mana ended, you can shoot from a machine gun.

As you pass, the hero turns into a Wundervafle

This is facilitated by the system of stapes and pumping weapons. Offer four stats offer. Conditionally swordsman, magician, shooter and health. There are no restrictions. Nothing interferes with the enemies of the shotgun, chop enemies with an ax or drag BFG in your hands.

Perki additionally crystallizes classes. For example, there is a perk giving +3 to the cartridges of a shotgun, when raising the cartridges themselves. It is really useful. You can pour the extra five points of health skills. There are ultimatical perks, for example, an increase in speed of movement or a decrease in incoming damage.

But all this is garbage. Only you swing, not opponents. Enemies do not add in HP or new skills. And this would not appear at the levels of new opponents with new chips. Only the appearance of traps and “locking” in a room with mobs began to reduce my strip of health. Until the last act, I generally thought that mobs were unable to kill me. Threats as such was not felt.

Bosses only enhance this feeling

The most difficult boss is the first. His name is a sorcerer. I, by my naivety, tried to kill him from a shotgun, but died. Then he switched to the revolver, also died. In the next attempt, I shot all the cartridges and picked up an ax … And then everything spun around. It turns out that he has stages, and half an hour of battle has already passed, and the cartridges simply did not reach him. And he, for a minute, at a close distance vanshititis. In short, here I freaked out, turned on the display of the strips of health in the settings and chopped it in a few seconds.

The rest of the bosses did not last and minutes. Even the conditional immortality did not save the case, this is when the boss can be killed by doing only something definite. The ax even without pumping causes monstrous damage for the blow. Later I tried a build with magic, and yes, the ax steers. Although the magician is also interesting.

The game will appeal to those who do not scare the entourage and the picture in general. Solutions with lighting and level design will add pepper to the passage. Music will not disappoint. Well, a clumsy font will have to survive. I do not give an assessment. The only thing I can say that the game is pure indie: the licked beginning and the unfinished end. If you are familiar, and you must, with such raisins as: Limbo, Salt and Sanctuary, What Remains of Edith Finch – then you understand what I mean.

Review of “Oxygen not Included”

Introduction
Most recently, on July 30, the wonderful game “Oxygen not Included” from the Canadian studio Klei Entertainment, which developed such games as “Don’t Starve”, “Griftlands”, “Hot Lava”, “Invisible Inc”, was released from Steam early access.", "Mark of Ninja" and so on. “Oxygen not Included” itself is a survival simulator in a space colony, where the player must, controlling duplicates (colonists), equip a self-sufficient base, while the player cannot directly interact with duplicates but only give them instructions and set priorities. And at first glance it may seem that the game simply copied all the mechanics of “Rimworld” and differs from it only in theme, but if you delve a little deeper into the details, you can understand that this is not so.

Quick Facts
The game appeared in early access on May 18, 2017 on Steam, and after 2 years of transformation, the developers announced a release date of May 28, which was later postponed to July 30. Lead game designer Johann Seidenz admitted that "Oxygen Not Included" was influenced by games such as "Dwarf Fortress", "Prison Architect" and "The Sims". The graphics, in turn, as in “Don’t Starve”, are drawn by hand and are very pleasing to the eye.

Reviews on Steam are very positive and most of the negative ones relate to early access problems, which have now been successfully fixed. The game supports Russian, English, Korean and Chinese. Other languages can be downloaded in the workshop, as well as several modifications. The price of "Oxygen not Included" is relatively small, only 12.49 USD on Steam and 6.99 USD on Epic Games Store.

Gameplay
Before starting a new colony, https://lasvegaswincasino.co.uk/ the player will need to choose one of two game modes, “Effortless” or “Survival”. In the first case, the game will go like clockwork, and any problems will not require an emergency solution, you can calmly think about everything and calmly continue playing. If you nevertheless decide to choose the second mode, the game will no longer allow you to calmly observe the development of the colony, and all problems will require immediate solutions. Of course, some parameters such as immunity or morale of duplicates can be adjusted when choosing a mode. The next thing you need to decide is which asteroid you want to settle on.

In total, I offer the player a choice of 9 asteroids with different features. So on “Oasis” almost everywhere on the map the temperature exceeds the norm, and in turn on “Rime” the opposite is true. Also, each asteroid has features (2-4) that will affect the generation of the world and which can be replaced with others using the random selection button. We have passed half the way to the start and the most difficult thing remains, to randomly select three selected duplicates with whom you will start. The process is labor-intensive, since you cannot independently choose interests or characteristics that greatly influence the game. You can only press the selection button hundreds of times in the hope that you will come across someone who cooks well and does not fart at every opportunity. Once you have decided on the team, you can name the colony and click the “Go” button.

Congratulations, it’s all just begun. I’m not going to make step-by-step instructions for the game, I can only tell you about the primary tasks of the game. The first is to reach a time rift, the second is to colonize the asteroid. Building a rocket in itself is not an easy task, but making sure it reaches the most distant object on the map… And to colonize an asteroid you will need to: survive 200 cycles, maintain a morale level above 16, print 12 duplicates (yes, they print them) and build a great monument, the most resource-intensive building in the game. What is the gameplay?? At first everything may seem easy and even boring, but the most interesting is yet to come. After a few cycles, your base will begin to run out of oxygen, and it would seem that the problem can be easily solved with one oxygen diffuser, but it consumes algae, which will sooner or later run out and you will need to either look for ways to extract algae or an alternative way to extract oxygen. And this is just one example. Fortunately, developers offer hundreds of different solutions to solve problems. So to get food you can either fry dirt or raise different animals. This is the gameplay of the game, to support life on the asteroid until it becomes self-sufficient through geysers, funnels and flights into space.

Game mechanics
"Oxygen not Included" is filled with a lot of unique mechanics. Unlike other games of this genre, OnI has a side view of the game, while its analogues most often use a top view. Also, one of the main features is very high-quality physics, and you can write abstracts on the thermodynamics of the game. It is well-developed thermodynamics that allows you to create all sorts of miracles, such as boiling oil with minimal electricity costs, or cooling water from 91 degrees to 23. Another interesting mechanic is morale. Your duplicate will begin to experience stress if his morale is too low, and when the stress indicator reaches 100%, the duplicate will either cry or destroy everything around him, depending on his reaction to stress. It’s details like these that make OnI, in my opinion, one of the best representatives of its genre, but we shouldn’t forget about the disadvantages.

Cons
As you may have noticed in the photos above, the game is not fully translated into Russian, and if you speak English other than “Hello, nice to met you”!“If you don’t know anything, it will be difficult for you to understand the details that the developers did not have time to translate. Another disadvantage is that the game requires a lot of time and desire to create, so if you are looking for a game where you can press buttons without straining your brain, OnI is not for you. And the last negative that I could get to the bottom of is the monotony of the game. Even in the above-mentioned “Rimworld”, the game was diluted by attacks from raiders or rabid squirrels that could destroy the entire colony. Here, the only thing that can kill you is your stupidity, for example: you forgot about the lack of oxygen, food, or simply your duplicate closed itself somewhere on the map and you didn’t have time to do anything.

Pros
The game is very replayable because the world generation is always changing and every time you have to adapt and change tactics. Another plus is the sea of content and different ways to achieve the same goal. Experiment as much as you want and do something new every time.

Conclusion
This brings my first review to its logical conclusion. I give “Oxygen not Included” my strong eight, since in pairs the game begins to seem boring. I recommend the game to everyone who likes the genre and those who want to try something new, but if you are not from this category, you most likely will not like the game. If I’m interested in you, here are the links to the game on Steam and EGS. Write your opinion in the comments and if you want more reviews of other games. Have a good mood everyone.

Review or opinion on! Saints Row: The Third

Before text
To begin with, I will say that the only disadvantage of the game is what it is considered to be. This is not a side game. Let’s remember the second part, where many players saw only shit pouring on people and fumes. Now let’s say hello to the Brotherhood quest line. Got it?
In the third part, as in the second, trash and frenzy (of which there is now much more than in the second part) are combined with a very good plot. What came out of this mix?? Let’s see.
_______________________________________________________________________________

Innovations

But it turned out something like the second part, only bigger, cooler, more addictive and more fun. Let’s start with new features, of which, unfortunately, there are not very many here, but they all changed the gameplay for the better. To begin with, improving everything and everyone. You can upgrade your character and his things when you reach a certain level of authority or advance in the plot. While you get the second upgrades for free, you have to pay money for the first ones. Gaming, of course. Believe me, this is a worthy investment of your money, because the character at the very beginning of the game knows almost nothing. He hits weakly, shoots only with one hand and generally fails in serious battles. However, it is worth investing in its improvement, meet a real killing machine that runs endlessly, drives cars with nitrogen and hits so hard that enemies fly into the wall of the house across the street. This is the incentive from the developers to complete the storyline. More skills – more fun, you know?
You can also improve weapons. It costs a lot, but the result is simply gorgeous. For example, a headshot from a pistol with explosive bullets will demolish anyone. And in general, pistols are an imbecile, available almost from the very beginning, but more on that later.
Next in line are fortresses and income from districts. You’ve already seen something similar in AC:B. We buy a store/house/something else and we get income from this building. Well, don’t forget about getting a discount in the store. Money arrives in your bank account every hour and you can transfer it to your own account at any time.
Fortresses are special buildings that not only bring in a lot of money, but also provide comfortable housing for the Saints. You get fortresses as you progress through the story. The more money you invest in them, the cooler they look and give you more money, which is now more valuable than before, because there is something to spend it on.
And they finally fixed this hellish car control. It is now smooth and comfortable, which pleases.

The Story of the Third Street Saints

While in the first and https://won66casino.co.uk/ second parts you start the game as a nobody, in the third part you are on top of Stillwater. But, how sad it is, we are NOT playing in Stillwater, but in Stillport. So yes, you are practically no one here either. While in the second part there were 4 organizations against you at once, here there are two of them, although one of them is divided into three. The second is a real spoiler, so I’ll tell you about the Syndicate. So, the Syndicate is an international organization that wants to take over all the possessions of the Saints. At least not after the Saints didn’t agree to 25%. Our heroes need everything, don’t they?? We will fight against the Syndicate for almost the entire game.
It would be worth noting that the Saints are almost no longer a gang, but simply an advertising brand. Famous, no, even VERY FAMOUS advertising brand. The symbols of the Saints are everywhere in Steelport – on advertising posters, in shops, on buildings. This is the irony, you own everything and nothing at the same time. For now.
The Syndicate is divided into three subgroups – the Deckers (guys who probably rewatched Tron and are fans of cyberspace), the Luchadores (wrestlers led by mega muscleman Killbane) and the Morning Star (the Syndicate’s elite). Specialists were added to the game, sort of “mini-bosses”, one type for each of the gangs. For example, for high-tech Deckers, this is a girl with a huge sledgehammer, who is so freaking fast. I’m serious. You’ll talk about it the same way when you play it.
To avoid spoilers, I won’t talk much about the plot, but with the advent of that very second organization, the game will change. Instead of slightly boring missions that teach you how to do a part-time job, there will be very dynamic and cool tasks. For example, you will need to fight off a huge army of enemies that will attack your shelter. Well, we must not forget about cyber space.
As you progress through the story, you will have to make, oddly enough, choices. Blow up a building and get a permanent increase in authority, or leave it and get money and a house as a reward. Hack a company that produces cars or weapons. Both options are good and, to tell the truth, sometimes it’s even difficult to choose.

Otherwise I didn’t understand damn it!

Engine sound, view from the mirror

Now about graphics and sounds. To say that they are good is to say nothing. From the second part of the third, textures were not the highest resolution and not the best optimization. Not that terrible, but still not that good. However, everything else is just great. Good reflections of light from everything from which it can be reflected. The faces of the characters and their clothes are good. Good models of cars, helicopters and wunderwaffles. The picture as a whole looks good, it doesn’t hurt the eyes, but on the contrary, it’s pleasing. The sounds are very realistic. When you shoot from a machine gun with armor-piercing cartridges, you hear exactly the shot from a machine gun with armor-piercing cartridges, and not from some kind of fart. The sounds of the city are good, they immerse you in the game even more. And the music, mmm… Remember those missions from the first parts, when you simply ran to the sound of rare shots and, yawning, killed enemies? Tell them bye and give them a kick in the ass. Now you will exterminate bastards to upbeat music. It seems like such a small thing, but damn it, it adds so much dynamics!
Radio stations play good music that is pleasant to listen to. She is sometimes interrupted by the already familiar voice of a reporter who informs the whole city about your (and not only) criminal exploits. This adds a lot to the atmosphere. Try to count how many times you grin when the announcer talks about your exploits.

You will have to fall out of a plane in a tank, shooting other smart people.

It’s more fun together!

Saints Row: The Third also retains multiplayer, which has acquired new features. Unfortunately, tell deathmatch bye. Not a big loss though.
Co-op remains. Playing when your friend is walking next to you and shooting the enemy is much more fun and interesting. There are such and such cat and mouse left (activated when one player kills another. Try it at your leisure). In general, when you play in co-op, the game becomes almost a different game. You can, for example, try to jump into a penthouse pool from the stratosphere with a friend. You can race or just provide a sweet life for the residents of Steelport.
The bulldozer mode was also introduced. There are 3 cards. There are several characters. Choose them and a card – go ahead. The main point of this type of game is to survive. Different waves of enemies are coming at you. For each wave you have certain types of weapons. Each wave is made with love and craftsmanship. How do you like the wave of BDSM guys who run after you with huge dildos and try to kill you?? Of course, they die with one kick, but when you see THIS, you only have one thought. RUN. Or what about a crowd of people who can only be killed by a shot in the, excuse me, balls? Veselukha is guaranteed. And this is not “Entertain Yourself”, as in co-op. It’s just some kind of perverted amusement park.

No, but what would you do in her place??

Saints Row: The Third retains its signature character customization. Of course, there are fewer clothing stores, but the choice is amazing in its diversity. Here you will find hipster clothes and a pirate costume..

Treating Saints Row: The Third as a supporting project is NOT worth it. Worth playing. My rating for the game is 9.5/10, and not 10 only because of a little clumsy optimization.
