With the release of every new part of RE, people always appear whining, saying that everything is not the same, this is no longer a resident, and in general the grass was greener. In such situations, I always come to the defense and constantly insist that each RE is unique and good in its own way. Having been a fan for 21 years now, I can boldly say that Resident Evil 7 is a real resident, from which I had a lot of fun, in addition to being tough, brave and not shy about it. Not a masterpiece, but close, and just very cool!
Even though there really is very little https://phfuncasino.co.uk/ plot connection here with previous games (perhaps there will be more of it with the release of DLC), but this is a return to purebred Survival, where you need to save ammo, craft first aid kits and generally be very careful. It’s dark, scary, there’s not enough things, you constantly need to do back tracking and return to old locations in circles. Couldn’t be more canonical! Changing the camera, which scared many, in fact did not change anything except perception, plays absolutely like classic RE. Capcom’s statements about returning to the roots turned out to be true; along the way, they took elements of other projects, they left their own uniqueness and, one might even say, reinvented the genre. The seventh part is an indie horror concept in which tens of millions of dollars have been invested. The result is a bomb, exciting, atmospheric game, with a gigantic amount of detail and direction. With references to the old self, Easter eggs, etc.d. You walk through rooms, study objects, look at things and get a buzz. I am sure that in the next couple of years there will be many attempts to create similar horror films, because.To. no one has done this before. True, for me it turned out to be not scary at all, but creepy, bloody and tough at 100%. The fascination of what is happening holds you in pincers until you reach the credits. (Which I have already done, by the way, 2 times and including the Madhouse mode!)
It’s all because of the direction, you constantly feel the liveliness of the action. They constantly play out scenes in front of you, let you fight bosses, there are no drawbacks. The harshness of some moments is off the charts, special praise for such bold ideas. The scene in the garage will be remembered for the rest of my life, as will the prologue in general, and when you get your hands on a chainsaw, that’s it, I’m silent and silent. They entertain for 9-10 hours, which is a fantastic time for horror films, and even with such elaboration of every corner. All locations and rooms are made by hand, there are a lot of secrets, there are a lot of events. The authors change the rules, play with you, so the situations are completely atypical. With an abundance of shooting, it doesn’t turn into a shooter, it’s survival! Visually, it’s also excellent, a nice picture, stylized as a VHS tape, superb facial animation (especially in videos), and the ability to lower the graphic so low that it will work even on five-year-old PCs. Only the plot turned out to be ordinary, without details, because spoilers. Of the minuses – the price of 2000 rubles is a little expensive, I bought it on third-party sites for 1360 (a completely different matter); Russian subtitles are not perfect; incredibly few notes; the descriptions of things (you go up, press a button and read) have been completely cut out, which for me is wildly sad! Conclusion – amazing work, masterful execution, everything is very, very cool, but I can’t call it a legend or a masterpiece. But even so, RE 7 is a shining example of the revitalization of the genre. For fans of hardcore, horror and, of course, the RE series, I categorically recommend it!
